Asian Fest D.C. 2008

The Asian Festival DC in partnership with the Khun Kao Promotions and the Global Combat Alliance (GCA) is proud to host a Combat Sports Tournament on Sunday, August 10th at 3 pm. This combat sports event will feature the sport fighting styles of various Asian nations, such as Muay Thai from Thailand, San Shou from China, Escrima from the Phillipines, and Judo from Japan. The event will also feature MMA matches, a modern gladiator sport that combines the elements of many of the martial arts styles of the Orient.

The event will be held outdoors in a 22-foot boxing ring. The ring will be underneath a tent near the "Chinese Village" and the "Singha Beer Garden". The gates will open for seating at 2 pm, and the event will start at 3 pm.

We are proud to announce that we will have a very special guest in attendance, Thailand's Kansak Sor.Pleonchit, a living legend in the sport of Muay Thai. Kansak is a multiple time Muay Thai champion, and the only fighter to have been named Thailand's coveted "Fighter of the Year" honors twice!
